David Stones is a poet and performer with some 600 poems in print throughout Canada and internationally, and close to 40 poetry awards to his credit. Major collections include Infinite Sequels, sfumato, and Essays of Light, while audiences delight in David’s poetry-based stage performances and musical adaptations of his work. Crow Sits on Boxcar – 81 haiku variations of exactly the same thing hits bookstores this fall. Among many memberships and professional affiliations, David is most proud to be appointed a Honourary Lifetime Member of The Ontario Poetry Society, and Stratford’s first ever Poet Laureate for the 2025-2028 term.
Dr. Micheline Maylor is a Poet Laureate emerita of Calgary (2016-18). She was awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award for literary contributions to Alberta in 2022. She is the senior acquisitions editor (poetry) at Frontenac House Press. She is a Walrus talker, a TEDX talker, and she a past Calgary Public Library Author in Residence (2016). Her most recent book is The Bad Wife (U of A Press 2021) won the BPAA Robert Kroetsch Award for best book of Alberta poetry and has been translated into Italian La Cattiva Moglie (iQdB).Her latest essays introduces Hunger: The Poems of Susan Musgrave (Wilfred Laurier Press. 2025). She was short-listed for the Exile Robert Kroetsch award for experimental poetry. She won the Lois Hole Award for Editorial excellence for poetry in Alberta (2019). Her poems have recently been translated into Italian, Farsi, and Chinese.
Anna Yin was Mississauga’s inaugural Poet Laureate (2015–2017) and is the author of seven poetry collections, including Breaking Into Blossom (Frontenac Press, 2025). She has translated five poetry books, notably Mirrors and Windows (Guernica Editions, 2021). Her work has appeared in Queen’s Quarterly, ARC Poetry, The New York Times, China Daily, CBC Radio, and more. She has read on Parliament Hill, at international festivals, and at universities in China, Canada, and the U.S. A recipient of multiple awards and grants, she created and teaches Poetry Alive to bring poetry into schools, colleges, and communities.
